Traditional Rice & Naan
NAAN
One of the best-known items in northern Indian cuisine is naan. Stuffed, seasoned, or plain, this oven-baked flatbread is a staple on our Indian restaurant menu. Plain naan is typically served up hot, with a light brush of butter. At India Gate’s Bellevue restaurant, naan is cooked the traditional way; in a cylindrical clay oven called a tandoor.
Our Bellevue Indian restaurant serves a full dozen different kinds of naan, with various stuffing ingredients, toppings and preparations. Sweet or savory, vegetarian or meaty, our guests enjoy a tasty selection of ways to enjoy their naan.
RICE
In addition to naan, India Gate offers a few choices for biryani, or rice. The authentic pilau rice compliments any of our entrée items to complete your meal. Choose from two tasty Basmati rice dishes tossed with meat for extra taste and satisfaction: chicken or lamb. And vegetarian diners will enjoy our Vegetable biryani, which is Basmati rice tossed with nuts and fresh vegetables.
All of our savory rice dishes are served with raita, which is house-made yogurt mixed with grated fresh cucumber and traditional spices.
